The Matrix

This movie was way ahead of its time.  The action scenes are all top-notch. As well as the acting. Arguably one of Keanu’s best roles. I want to point out the color correction and the hue, that perfectly match with the theme of the movie. Thus, the technical elements and the story complement each other very well.  I really liked Neo’s character development. How he went from a hacker wondering what the Matrix even is, to being able to freaking fly and dodge bullets. The movie really took time for him to learn the basics, “believe” and beat the crap out of everyone.  The VFX could be better. But then again, this movie was released in 1999. The CGI was probably considered exceptional at the time.  Also really liked the cliffhanger. Gotta watch the second part now!
