Lilo & Stitch

In preparation for our viewing of the live action remake my mom (who hasn’t seen this in ages) and I rewatched this original animated classic. Lilo & Stitch holds such a profoundly special place in my heart. This is, by a very clear mile, my favorite thing Disney has ever put out. That’s including all their subdivisions. Lilo & Stitch reigns supreme in my heart. It has such a deeply emotional story about finding and making your own family. Lilo being such an outcast and so lonely was something I really related to as a kid. Over the course of the story Lilo finds someone who is equally lost in Stitch and the find real solace in each other. I think this movie is absolutely perfect. Genuinely words can not describe how much I love this film. It’s set against the backdrop of the beautiful Kaua’i island and with a sci-fi fun sci-fi motif. I loooooove the fish/animal inspired aliens. The animation is Disney’s best with their most interesting character design. Since I think this is perfect and it would be sacrilegious to change it too much I have a feeling I’m not going to love the live action film. We’ll always have this perfect movie. This shit always makes me cry too. Just a serious 10/10 S tier movie.
