Finally got to watch this with my mom!! Having now seen this movie 4 times I can confidently say that really get it now. I totally get the hype around it!! It really took my breath away this time. The animation is beyond stunning. This movie still feels like THE standard for animation and it’s over 20 years old. Just a really beautiful story with the most richly animated world you’ve ever seen in a movie. There are so many tiny little details that 3D animated films just don’t have any more. I’m really happy that my mom loved this one. Our Miyazaki binge continues!!
