Oldboy

Oldboy (2003) Review 10/10 This film is a portrayal of a real action film. Not with big flashy explosions or actors playing themselves. One with raw emotions and feels like reality. Choi Min-sik portrays Oh Dae-Su, a man broken by imprisonment and seeks vengeance against his former captors. A man only powered with two things which are adrenaline and vengeance. Amazing how the lead of an action film isn't covered head to toe in unbreakable plot armor. It's a character that gets hurt. It's a character that is human. The acting felt so real and the cast did their job very well. This film manages to do so good with a 3 million USD budget while some films can't evoke much story and replace it with big explosions and crazy stunts using a budget that's more than ten times the budget of this film. This film is one of the best out there but certainly not worth any rewatch because of some horrific and disgusting aspects.
