“Why didn’t our childhood ruin you?” “I had you. I know you think you’re incapable of caring, but you were there for me. You washed my hair, made sure I got to school, I felt safe.” If you could see into my soul you would see this movie. I resonate so much with it and it has genuinely become such a comfort movie for me, especially with that Cannock Chase needle drop at the end, such a tearjerker. The setting, the dialogue between characters, the narration, all of it is just so perfect. Every actor clearly put their soul into their performance and it’s like you could see every part of their body come to life within these characters. I don’t mean to sound like I’m trying too hard but this movie just sits with me in a way that I haven’t felt with many movies. It’s truly a work of art.
