Rushmore
This happened to a friend of mine once. This story chronicles the rise and fall of Max Fischer (played by Jason Schwartzman) a once evil sociopathic narcissist who goes on a journey that I cannot even describe. Mr Blume (played by Bill Murray) is the victim of most of Max’s schemes. By the end of it, Max ends up somehow making Mr Blume’s life even better if you like squint and forget that he caused Mr Blume’s divorce and caused him to lose 8 million and 25 thousand dollars (as well as the cost of well being), and all of this story surrounds Max’s freakish obsession with Rosemary Cross (played by Olivia Williams), this sociopath Max somehow convinced a school to revive a Latin program, almost convinced a school to host a 25 thousand dollar aquarium, and then proceeded to take 8 million dollars from his friend to do that very same thing, yet it didn’t even help Mr Blume in his attempt to gain Rosemary’s reinterest in him. All of this culminates beautifully by the end of the film, somehow I find myself rooting for Max’s redemption. I absolutely adored this film, I have now seen every Wes Anderson film, as this was the last one on my list. I feel as if I am in a place of limbo, I do not know what I will do next, but I hope it can be as entertaining as watching this movie, as well as all of the other Wes Anderson films. This movie cooked.
