Superman

Superman is so back. This is the most comic booky movie I’ve ever seen, in the sense that it sticks true to what the comic book genre has always been about, which is the pursuit of good against forces of evil, and that’s perfectly embodied with the greatest adaptation of Superman put to screen. A Superman who goes out of his way to save civilians, tries to save kaiju monsters everyone else wants to kill, he saves squirrels 🐿️ and believes kindness love and empathy is the most punk rock thing ever. This Superman has so much love in his heart and it’s just how Superman should be, it is so beautiful to watch. We have a Lex Luther in this who calls Superman an “alien” and uses his money to steer his way into politics and condones genocide, honestly it was like watching Superman fight Trump and it was so fucking badass. There are some very clear parallels between the Israel and Palestine conflict in this film and it was fucking beautiful. I did not expect to cry so much during this movie, and I did not expect to leave this theater with smile lines on my face that likely won’t be leaving for a minute. Thank you James Gunn my glorious king 🙏 please put Robert Pattinson in the DCU they would thematically work so well together and they’re both fine shyts #WorldsFinest Metamorpho was so awesome and I cannot wait to see more of him! I hope we get a Mr. Terrific movie soon 🤘 #TheGunnDidn’tJam 🔥  Netanyahu would NOT fw this movie
