Agatha All Along

🔮Finally getting to watch the series i’ve been waiting for since forever. This will definitely be my longest review ever cuz i wrote something for each episode. Back in winter 2022 when the first set photos were leaked i got so into it that i started making theories about the Westview Mall (and it ended up being just one scene that wasn’t even that important). Loved loved loved it and the WV, AAA, VQ is already my fav marvel trilogy tho it’s not even fully out yet. As a big witchcraft fan, this show was MADE for me. So here are my reviews for each episode: 🔮(I wrote each review after each episode not all at the end, so i didn’t know the full thing. Obviously Spoilers ahead‼️‼️) EPISODE 1 🔮We are so back. This episode was the perfect transition between WandaVision and Agatha All Along. It kept the style of WV with the mystery, the fake reality and the tv show theme. Loved what they did with the intro and how they used the ballad in a “police drama” way. 🔮It’s so good to see all the Westview residents back. I grew really attached to all the characters in WV and i’m so glad to see them all return. I love the references to the “real world” (aka outside of Agatha’s spell), with Wanda’s “corpse”, the burned books and the library card. Also seeing Agatha back in all her decades outfits is something i didn’t know i needed. 🔮I will admit i was a bit scared with the casting of Joe Locke in this. I haven’t seen Heartstopper so i had no previous knowledge of his acting, but i was scared they’ll turn his character into another Charlie trope. But I quickly fell for him and i NEED his sweater to be available in europe asap. I’m stil not convinced he’s Billy bc HOW and also now that we specifically mentioned Nicholas Scartch i think that’s Teen’s identity. But i guess we only have a couple of weeks left till we have an answer for this debate that started 2 years ago. 🔮This was a great first episode, keeping that WV style while also feeling fresh. Loved Aubrey Plaza’s character and the whole true crime setting and the fact it kept you guessing what’s going on (even tho we find that out at the end of the episode) EPISODE 2 🔮I take back everything i said about being happy to see the Westview residents back, because WHAT DID THEY DO TO WANDA’S HOUSE. It literally broke my heart to see how they vandalized and ruined the house she was supposed “to grow old in” with her family. I won’t start justifying Wanda’s actions (in WV) again cuz then i’ll never stop, but this really proves that the town didn’t forgive her in the end, after she sacrificed her family for them. She did one mistake and was seen as the villain. 🔮Yess finally we get to meet the coven. I’ve been obsessed with all of them since the casting was announced so i already knew everything about them, but it’s nice to officially neet them in the show. Agatha’s and Teen’s dinamic is so good and sassy. And Agatha’s road outfit at the end of the episode is STUNNING. 🔮The Ballad scene might be one of the best scenes marvel directed. It literally gave me chills. From the amazinf vocals of the song, to the emotions of each witch as they conjure the road, to Teen’s encounter with the Salem Seven. The Ballad has been stuck in my had since D23 and now everyone can obsess over it. The Salem Seven are so scary they really went all in with the witchy aesthetic. Also i love the comedy Sharon adds to the scene as she’s so unaware of what’s going on. Agatha invited her for a party and the next thing she knew she was in a basement with a coven of witches singing and incantation. I really love Sharon and i hope the theory that she dies during the first trial is wrong. EPISODE 3 🔮NOOO not Sharon I’m heartbroken (would’ve been more heartbroken if people could learn to put spoiler warnings on tt). And talking about spoilers what was that Funko? I mean Wiccan was already “confirmed” so many times BUT RIO?? HELLO?? But back to Sharon i’m so sad for her. I loved her since WandaVision. I was pretty sure she was going to die this episode cuz i’n very invested in theories, but she was so innocent she didn’t deserve this. Everyone loved her for the past week and made edits of how she would beat Wanda, and now all Sharon edits are sad edits of her death. 🔮I LOVE LOVE LOVE the way the trials are presented this will be such a good series. Loved the full costume and aesthetic change of the episode, very much in the style of WandaVision. Such a cool idea for a show with all the trials for each one of them and they’re all on time in these different styled episodes. Can’t wait to see my beloved coven through all those different eras and aesthetics. However i missed not having The Ballad sang in this episode. I initially thought we would hear a different version of the song in each episode, but apparently not. 🔮I know more witches are probably going to die throughout the series and i grew attached to them before the show ever aired. My theory is that Alice and Lilia will also die, but god i hope i’m wrong cuz i love Lilia so much. This show actually has guts to kill main characters which marvel seems to generally avoid and i respect it for that. Is it just me or the end was giving Barbie with the cut after a final joke and a bop song after a tragic event? (Also, see how i didn’t talk about the Mephisto name drop like a straight white marvel bro? Very demure very mindful) EPISODE 4 🔮Why is everyone so surprised Agatha and Rio were together? Not only was it confirmed before she show came out, but have you seen their tension in episode 1?? Also i would have loved to watch this episode and try to figure out what was going on with Rio if her character wouldn’t have been leaked. All the theories that Wanda will show up because of that track on the vinyl seem a bit too much guys. Love Wanda more than anything but i don’t think she’ll be in this show. 🔮Agatha’s and Teen relationship is so good. They’re very sassy but she started showing love towards him recently. This episode made me realize why they’re keeping his name secret. It’s not to keep the surprise that he’s Billy, it’s to keep us guessing if he’s Billy or Nicholas. And maybe that’s why Agatha’s so nice to him, cuz she hopes he’s her son. Also i loved seeing the coven come together and just talk. I love all of them so much i’m not ready to lose more witches after Sharon 🔮Loveddd the 70s style and the band themed trial. Now we actually understand all the easter eggs for each trial and i LOVE IT. From the moon phase on each door, to the leaves on the road changing according to their next trial. Have to say this one was way more themed for Alice than last one was for Jen. And the Ballad cover? That scene gave me chills just like the one from ep 2 did. EPISODE 5 🔮Last week we got a 70s music band trial and now an 80s sleepover trial? These episodes are made purely for my enjoyment. Might be my favorite themeing yet. All the witches look so cute in the pjs and loved how they got to have this slumber party in that GORGEOUS 80s cabin. This just made me realize how much i love every single one of them and how badly i want to join their coven. Also i love how crazy Rio is 24/7 and she doesn’t care at all about the task or the consequences. Fun fact: before the show started i took a personality test to see which witch i am and i got Rio 🔮Everyone is talking about Billy that i actually didn’t get spoiled about my girl Alice. WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY??? I loved her sm noo. I do believe the theory that Alice and Lilia will die but i didn’t want to think we’d actually lose Alice AND THIS SOON? Istg Lilia better not die now cuz i’ll be losing it. I will say i love that they kept Agatha a villain and even tho she’s the main character they didn’t make her a hero. The first chance she got she killer Alice to take her powers. I love Agatha but right now i’m not talking to her cuz of what she did to my girl Alice. 🔮I can’t believe we’re actually halfway through this show. And we already got Teen’s identity? We all knew he was Billy so no need to overreact, but it makes me think what will be the plot twist for the last episode if it’s not Teen’s identity. I always said Wanda won’t be in this series, but now that we solved Teen’s mystery some part of me believes she might actually be in the finale. “You are so much like your mother” not Agatha calling Wanda out. Will say the final scene was a bit… weird. With Billy just “killing” three of his friends after he’s been the shy boy this whole show. Also the song choice was… a choice. EPISODE 6 🔮Why is everyone hating on this episode for being about Billy and about Agatha? If you supported Joe against the hate he got during production, but when he has his own episode you hate on it it’s equal to zero. I love Agatha and the coven from all my heart, but Wanda is my favorite character and of course i loved an episode focused on her son. I never thought they would do the whole Billy Kaplan thing in the MCU, cuz even if it works in the comics, in film it might be too confusing. But they did it and i’m so happy about it. Already fallen in love with Billy (Kaplan and Maximoff). Also, i always thought being able to hear other’s thoughts and not being able to stop it is horrible and i feel so bad for him. 🔮All the WandaVision parallels made me so happy. That show means the world to me and to get to see the finale from Billy’s perspective is a dream. Also, we finally learn what the world knows about Westview. At least they tried to protect Wanda’s image by saying it was an experiment gone wrong and that Vision is actually dead. And we got to hear Wanda and Vision’s voices from the 50s omggg. EVAN CAME BACK. I REPEATE EVAN CAME BACK. I almost screamedddd. I always said Wanda had a reason to do what she did both in WV and in MoM, but after Ralph’s story about how it actually felt to be in the hex, i came to the conclusion she did the wrong thing (even if she had a reason). It was actually heartbreaking to hear his pov and how he was never the same after Wanda’s spell. And now he’s this scared and anxios person (kinda like Bruno Madrigal). But seeing Billy writing down his family status was even more heartbreaking. None of the Maximoff family members are still alive. Wanda and Tommy are dead, Vision is not the same Vision from the hex and Billy doesn’t have any memories of his life with his family. So the family from my favorite show is dead… And yes, for the first time in 2.5 years i’m starting to believe Wanda is actually dead and her sould didn’t travel to the Road. There are so many people saying my favorite character is dead and i can’t ignore them anymore :( 🔮I can’t be the only one who loves Agatha’s and Billy’s dinamic. She was there since Wanda was pregnant with him, and now he’s a teen and she’s still there for him. She’s trying to keep him safe for not being able to keep her own son safe. The ending was yet again really sad (such a roller coster episode). It’s like the end of MoM all over again. After all the horrible things Wanda did in MoM, in the end when she finally got to her children they saw her as a monster and were afraid of her. And now Billy doesn’t want to bring Wanda back to life because of what he knows she did. He prefers his mother to be dead for the things she’s done… EPISODE 7 🔮”I loved being a witch” LILIAAAA. WHYYY Lilia was always my favorite. Lilia was my favortie since before we even knew who she was. When i heard Patti was going to be in this i knew i would love her character sm. Also she is the type of witch i related to the most. Cuz i’m more on tarot and divination rather than herbs or potions. So i loved her smm and even if deep down i knew she wasn’t going to survive the road this episode made me cry so much. Poor Lilia had such a hard life being afraid of her powers and messing up the order she experiences her life in. And we started the episode with her death scene. She knew she would die but she still entered the trial to save her coven. I know half of them are already dead, but they will forever be sisters in the craft 🔮This episode had no right to be this good. It had an great story and was amazingly directed, with the editing and the way the scenes were not in chronological order. Also the aesthetic of this trial was so cool with the fairytale witches in the medieval castle. Rio’s reveal as Death was also great (tho we all got spoiled a month ago by funko). And this ep tied in a lot of unanswered questions with Lilia’s visions and Rio’s mystery. But what is going on with the subway? What is happening??? It’s giving WandaVision when Wanda finds out it was all a tv show studio and everything was fake. So i would like to know what’s actually going on cuz i thought you can’t leave the Road unless you finish it. 🔮This is in a way what ep 8 was for WV. It’s not technically the second to last episode, but it’s the second to last Agatha Thursday (i’ll miss these sm). Next week we get both ep 8 and 9 so this did feel like a semifinale. Also the vibes were so sad, with only 4 witches in yhe trial. They used to be so many and now they’re 4 who aren’t even that close anymore. And next week we’ll only have 3?? Man time flew by since they were a full coven drinking expensive wine in the first trial EPISODE 8 🔮… I’ll start with the stuff that didn’t make me cry. Jen got her powers back!! Love my girl for it. And Tommy will be back!!! …That’s it. The rest made me cry 🔮Why did Agatha die?? ARE YOU INSANE??! I don’t even want to think about it. The trial itself was so sad cuz from 7 we were down to 3. Also i found it so funny how both Jen and Billy survived the Road by cheating themselves out. Jen’s character arc is so gorge. She was so selfish in the beginning, only caring about herself and that she gets out alive. But these last two episodes she cared about her coven more. Such a perfect ending for her. And Billy finally “revived” Tommy!! The twins are back!! But my girl Agatha… she survived all the trials and got nothing. Just a fight with Death herself. Won’t lie that fight ate so hard. Aubrey played her ass out as Death. And we got a Wiccan outfit reveal!! I did like how Agatha was somewhat evil till her dying breath. She tricked Billy yet again to save herself. But in the end she sacrificed herself for him… When i said i wanted Rio and Agatha to kiss i didn’t mean i wanted Rio to kill Agatha with a kiss. Agatha was in my heart for almost 4 years now and wdym she died??? 🔮I did not think of that plot twist… (but i saw someone on tt think about it last week). I am very observant of details and i did notice in ep 6 that so many things in Billy’s room resemble the Road, but wdym IT WAS HIS HEX?? We lost 3 queens for nothing?? Also it’s not very clear to me, did Agatha figure it out? Cuz we had that montage, but i’m not sure if she did realize it was his hex, cuz then why was she playing along? I did love their relationship from the beginning of the show till know. They really got to care so much for each other and were ready to die for each other (Agatha didn’t know if she would be able to survive the Road without Billy but she still helped him escape first). Also, the parallel to Wanda with Billy walking out of Westview through the town’s people with his hood on? Ate. I don’t know whose voice was at the end but it better be Agatha’s and prove she somehow survived, or Wanda’s. So ig next episode won’t be JUST backstory cuz we still have some things to explain. Also, why no post credit?? I really hope the next episode has a post credit. At least one that connects to Vision Quest. EPISODE 9 🔮I’M NOT CRYING YOU ARE. The backstory?? Could’ve gotten more Agatha x Rio scenes, but seeing her with her son while she know’s he’ll die some day… heartbreaking. She’s so much like Wanda. Will say tho, from an objective perspective she had no reason to be mad at Rio, she was just doing her job. But the montage of the Ballad? With all the decades jumps and coven murders? Agatha is a queen and she knows it 🔮I feel so bad for Billy, cuz in the end his hex was just as bad if not worse than Wanda’s, cuz 3 people died in it. Although he isn’t to blame for all of them. Sharon is the only one he killed. Alice was killed by Agatha and Lilia sacrificed herself to the Salem Seven, which had nothing to do with the hex. And in the end he gave himself and Jen what they were looking for. 🔮”Follow me my friend/ To glory at the end” and only 3 out of 7 survive the show. Agatha coming as a ghost mentor for Billy is such a “comics thing” i didn’t think they would do it in the MCU. But i do love it. She looks so good as a ghost. And they finally understand each other <33 In a way Billy is more her boy than Wanda’s cuz he has no memory of his actual mother. Sad we didn’t get a post credit, but since they’re going to find Tommy does that mean we’ll see them in Vision Quest? Cuz we know Tommy will be in that show so… 🔮FINAL THOUGHTS: 🔮This show was so perfect. After waiting for almost 4 years we got such an amazing show. So greatful to all the people involved in this. Jac Schaeffer is so amazing. Marvel peaks if she’s involved. No wonder this magic side is my favorite aspect of the MCU. Unfortunately she’s not working on Vision’s show, but i trust they’ll still do an amazing job. 🔮This and WV are my favorite marvel projects oat. I feel so close to all the coven members. For example, i love Alice who was in 5 episodes with less than an hour of screen time all in all (i think) more than Thor or Captain America or so many other heroes. I may not be the biggest Marvel fan anymore, but i’ll forver love this trilogy (WV, AAA, VQ). Yes, i’m a marvel bro’s worst nightmare. 🔮Can’t believe i’ve actually seen this whole series. Time for a rewatch now. For Agatha, Billy, Rio, Lilia, Jen, Alice & Sharon 💜💙🖤💛🩷🧡💚
