Suicide Squad

**1️⃣8️⃣MOVIES FOR THE FIRST 18 YEARS OF MY LIFE —————————————————— Part 1️⃣3️⃣ ~ “Suicide Squad” 🃏🔫⛓️🩷💙💣 Age: 12** 1️⃣3️⃣ Yep this movie is on this list. No i will not apologize for it. I mean, we’re getting into my middle school years so… weird movies for weird times. Greta Gerwig said everyone’s at their worst in middle school and i couldn’t agree more. 1️⃣3️⃣ So i first watched this movie on an evening during the pandemic. Idk exactly why i chosw to watch it, cuz at that time i wasn’t really watching that many movies, i was more of a series guy (notice how there’s no movie for age 11 on this list). But i think i watched it cuz i wanted to watch a superhero movie (i didn’t grew up with superhero movies). 1️⃣3️⃣ And yep, i did fall in love with Harley and Joker from watching this. And the next couple of days i watched the animated Suicide Squad, Birds of Prey and Joker (2019) to get more of these characters. And i actually tried to give the DCEU a chance so i watched Wonder Woman, and even tho i liked it i realized i don’t really wanna watch DC, i just wanna watch Joker and Harley movies. 1️⃣3️⃣ The following year i tried getting into a superhero franchise yet again, this time Marvel. And i loved it way more and ofc i prefer Marvel to DC 100%. The only DC movies i like are the ones that feature Joker and/or Harley (and not even all of those). 1️⃣3️⃣ I still love their characters so much and Harley is one of my fav characters OAT. Yes, they’re very toxic (which i realized even more upon this rewatch, tho i have rewatched it last fall so it’s not like i forgot everything about the film) but… they’re also very iconic and you can’t deny it. 1️⃣3️⃣ Margot KILLED it in this role and nobody can deny it. Why are Will Smith and Jared Leto credited before her? Do they really expect us to believe Deadshoot is the main character of this movie? Cuz we all know it’s Harley “My heart scares you, and a gun doesn’t?” </3
