The Outsiders
“When I stepped out into the bright sunlight, from the darkness of the movie house, I had only two things on my mind: Paul Newman, and a ride home.”
Now if you asked me what was a film that really changed me, really made me think, really affected me I would say the outsiders now this is such a amazingly beautiful and tragic film as I have only watched the complete novel version I will say this is one of the greatest book to film adaptations it is almost word for word the character development is heartbreaking and the storyline is phenomenal.
“I thought we lost you like we did Mom and Dad.”
Hinton is a very talented author by creating emotion, atmosphere and her amazing complex characters and Coppola captured the beauty of this book perfectly through cinema.
*“I used to talk about killing myself all the time, man. But I don't wanna die now. It ain't long enough.
Sixteen years ain't gonna be long enough. Hell, I wouldn't care so much if there hadn't been so many things I haven't done yet.”*
