True Romance

“I had to come all the way from the highway and byways of Tallahassee, Florida to MotorCity, Detroit to find my true love. If you gave me a million years to ponder, I would never have guessed that true romance and Detroit would ever go together. And til this day, the events that followed all still seems like a distant dream. But the dream was real and was to change our lives forever. I kept asking Clarence why our world seemed to be collapsing and things seemed to be getting so shtty. And he'd say, "that's the way it goes, but don't forget, it goes the other way too." That's the way romance is... Usually, that's the way it goes, but every once in awhile, it goes the other way too.”* I will say this is one of the greatest films ever made it is absolutely incredible from Quentin Tarantino’s writing to Tony Scott’s directing. Everything about this film is perfect it is gory funny suspenseful, crime filled but overall it’s “…was so romantic.” I will recommend this film to everyone at every opportunity because i believe you haven’t fully lived until you watch true romance. The casting is just amazing Christian Slater portrayed Clarence Worley perfectly starting my obsession and to top it off Patricia Arquette as Alabama Worley is everything to make it the film it is. It isn’t your typical romance film but it is romantic in every way but with the edge to make it different from the rest. I did get very worried as I was watching the directors cut as not much was different at all but i didn’t know what the ending would be but luckily everything was fine I wasn’t crying like a baby, it is the sort of film I can literally put on whenever I’m stuck for what to watch, sad, happy or bored and I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of it I do think it needs to go into my top four. Now if you haven’t watched true romance go do it now! “You just said you love me, now if I say I love you and just throw caution to the wind and let the chips fall where they may and you're lying to me I'm gonna fckin' die.”* YOU’RE SO COOL!
