Denis Villeneuve is at his strongest in Prisoners, delivering a chilling, suspenseful thriller that encapsulates so many hidden messages and themes throughout his well developed mystery. Jake Gyllenhaal gives one of his top 3 performances, and topping his is Hugh Jackman as Keller Dover, a desperate father that would do anything for his daughter to be safe, anything.
