i love everything about this film. the atmosphere, the cinematography, and the performances. maris racal was truly put through it, and she delivered such a powerful performance. antoinette jadaone proves once again what a brilliant director she is. i have seen her film, fan girl before but i still need to rewatch it. you can feel the bravery in her filmmaking, it’s thoughtful, full of substance, and genuinely eye-opening. sunshine’s struggle becomes symbolic of a broader issue, the desire of many filipinos especially women to have the freedom to make deeply personal decisions without being judged or constrained by societal expectations. i cannot wait to revisit this film to appreciate it more. happy women’s month!!
