In Bruges

i've been wanting to watch more new movies lately, so inevitably i ended up watching In Bruges for the 4th time in the last year. this is one of a very select few movies that imo excels in every part of filmmaking (writing, acting, cinematography, score, etc.). i understand that the humor in this may not be for everyone, but imo it's some of the best in any movie. i feel like i pick up on new things regarding its exploration of guilt and redemption each time i watch it, just such a complex and layered movie. also Clémence Poésy in this is just wow. and this is just one of the best opening lines ever. After I killed them, I dropped the gun in the Thames, washed the residue off me hands in the bathroom of a Burger King, and walked home to await instructions. Shortly thereafter the instructions came through. "Get the fuck out of London, youse dumb fucks. Get to Bruges." I didn't even know where Bruges fucking was.
