Sinners

There are legends of people with the gift of making music so true it conjure spirits from the past and the future. So beautifully done. It takes its time to immerse you into their world, feeling like you’re truly back home reconnecting with familiar faces. I loved the significance of music and dance as a form of connection and resistance.  Notable commentary mentions were the cultural significance of the Native Americans and the Chinese couple, ancestry, religion, ally ship, colonization, fetishization, etc. It’s honestly so layered I could go on forever.  Chef kiss to the way it follows similarly to eastern media with the 4-act. Reminded me of Exhuma with the rich history and a gut punching scene that everyone raved about as well.
