Prisoners

Really enjoyed this film, and I love this genre of film anyway. I think that Jake Gyllenhaal and Hugh Jackman’s acting was genuinely incredible and it felt so real at times. It’s amazing how a 2.5 hour film can keep someone so engaged the entire time. At no point during this did I want to finish the rest tomorrow, I was totally hooked the whole time. It didn’t even feel like it was that long of a film. The only reason why this is not 5 stars is I didn’t enjoy the scenes where he was torturing Alex at all. I don’t like watching things like that and whilst I did feel it did add to the plot and was necessary, it was not nice to watch even though they didn’t show much. I would definitely recommend this to anyone, especially people who like this genre of film because both main characters are amazing in this, and I truly love all of Jake’s work
