I Love Boosters

I am so glad I was able to rewatch it in theaters. The times for its second week have been absolutely abysmal & I got off work just in time to attend a 10:10 PM showing. Now for my review as promised. I adore this movie. I love the score from Tune-Yards a lot. It just gives the movie its life and energy & I appreciate it for that so much. The acting is phenomenal. Every cast member knocks it out of the park. The cinematography is stunning. I really love some of the really creative shots that they use. The trailers really don’t show you the wackiness and insanity this movie entails and I love it for that because watching this for the first time Wednesday the 20th and even today even if it wasn’t a blind experience, was such a great experience. Hearing other audience members laugh along with you at the excellent comedic timing and comedy in the movie. The lighting and the color grading is fantastic. It’s such a vibrant and colorful movie & it’s as much as I hate to admit it, rare for modern movies to have that these days. So, it’s always appreciated when movies have that. PLEAAAAAASE GO SEE THIS IN THEATERS IF YOU CAN Y’ALL. We NEED to support black art and cinema. It’s a shame that the screenings are the way they are right now, but if you can go see this movie in theaters, PLEASE DO.
