Speed Racer

This is genuinely one of the greatest movies I’ve seen in my entire life. I laughed, I cried, I smiled ear to ear. I felt so many emotions all in the same viewing. Admittedly, according to my Dad, I saw the movie when I was 5 and a half years old, in theaters with him, my sister & my older brother, but I did not remember a thing, so I don’t count it as a rewatch, I count it as a first watch. The cinematography is gorgeous, the editing is superb. I really, really adored the color grading. THAT MICHAEL GIACCHINO SCORE MMMMM, AMAZING. The directing is fucking amazing as usual from the Wachowski Sisters. I loved the acting, genuinely made me feel so much. I’ve already made plans to see it again on the 26th of April. I also need that 4K steelbook in my hands immediately. May 19th can’t come soon enough.
