Wicked: For Good

“I love you.” “I love you too.” God, this movie hits even more upon rewatch. I didn’t write a proper review on my first watch because I needed to sit with it a little bit. I absolutely adore this movie. The entire cast did a fantastic job in their roles. Especially Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande and Marissa Bode. Ariana and Cynthia, just like last time had me a sobbing mess by the end of the film. Jon M. Chu is a wonderful director. He absolutely deserves his flowers. People on Twitter were complaining about the color grading so much, but I don’t even notice the issue? Like, it is perfectly fine for what it is. Some people are just super nitpicky. The cinematography was absolutely stunning. I loved the way they shot it so much. The door scene shot was absolutely genius and it blew me away. The score was also amazing. Hearing some of the instrumentals of previous songs sprinkled throughout was absolutely genius. The songs were terrific as well. The new songs too. I loved them so much. Highly recommend seeing this in the best possible screen that you can. Preferably IMAX as I think that’s the way it was meant to be seen.
