Before Sunset

I feel like if someone were to touch me, I’d dissolve into molecules. I have a confession to make. I like this one much better than Before Sunrise. Before Sunset is a bitter-sweet romance, it’s surreal and painful to watch. This sequel is basically like the redemption and a relief to their first film, a unification of these two people who have passively longing for each other for the past nine years—almost a decade! What we see in Before Sunset is a depiction of both Jesse and Celine maturing, the embodiment of their reciprocated love and yearning. Something inside me tore apart watching them longing for something that could’ve been, especially the emotional scene in the car. The moment celine raised her hand—wanting to share touch with Jesse—but she managed to pull back when Jesse’s head turned to her, I lost it. My heart also shattered for what could have been.
