Psychological-Dance-Horror is my favorite niche subgenre, and Suspiria’s atmospheric absurdness, reigned in by the muted color pallet and real-work parallels, along with the stunning sound design that make every twist of the limb and hit on the floor feel like it’s pounding directly into your chest, makes it one of the best.
