The Odyssey

I do think this might be my favourite Nolan film. It’s really a toss up between this, Interstellar and Inception. The Matt Damon lover in me has to put this on top tho. The entire sequence with Polyphemus was great and tense but it really got a hold of me in the final act (which for this movie was like the final 1h20m) from when he arrives at Ithaca.  Penelope walking away after thinking he couldn’t string the bow, only for the music to kick in and sync up with him dry firing it, her turn back, Antonio’s turn away and just the “You’re Odysseu-“ before getting shot in the neck was one of the best scenes in I’ve seen at the pictures. Antinous just listing off the weapons as they fell through the roof was hilarious too. Movies where Matt Damon plays either a character trying to get home / a character that has some amnesia and is on a raft in the middle of the ocean ranked: 1. Dogma 2. The Odyssey 3. Interstellar 4. The Bourne Identity 5. The Martian 6. Saving Private Ryan
