Whiplash
Seen this several times now, and what could I possibly say that hasn't been said before? It's so fucking intense and Chazelle doesn't allow a single moment to breathe, whatsoever. He teases us with a romantic subplot that he purposefully sabotages for the pursuit of the dream, and the perfect use of golden colours really just add to the tension even further.
It's a near perfect film. It just is. I have so much I could say, that instead I'm going to say nothing. It's just mindblowingly amazing. It's also a very inspiring film in terms of chasing your dreams. Praise to J.K. Simmons, Miles Teller and Damien Chazelle for this masterpiece.
