Fallen Angels is a film you have to let unfold. If you spend too much time looking in between the lines you may forget about the lines themselves.
The films parallel storylines present a great narrative, and all the performances here were great too.
Undoubtedly, the most standout aspect of this film, to the surprise of absolutely nobody who has seen it, is the visual style. The zany cinematographic elements and editing choices make this picture 1:1 especially when paired with such a solid narrative.
I’ll likely rewatch this one soon, I bogged myself down by overanalyzing the hell out of this, and it admittedly messed up my first viewing.
