Tom Holland, Zendaya and Destin Daniel Cretton have treated us to a proper street level spiderman film. So emotional had me almost tearing up on a number of occasions. This film is shot way better than any of the other Tom Holland spiderman movies. More focus on practical effects than just cgi and green screens. The combat scenes are also spectacular. Really clever story imo, thought the whole mutation angle was very well dealt with. Feels like the first proper mcu spiderman film with loads of marvel characters interacting, but not in a forced cameo kind of way. Mark Ruffalo, Sadie Sink and Jon Bernthal all stand out in this film. This film got a round of applause at the end which I was not expecting. Then the post credit scene which teases avengers doomsday got another round of applause. The lights came on and as I stood up and looked around a fully booked room I thought to myself, Marvel might be back. Hopefully they can carry this momentum going forward and get back to the heights they were at before as that’s 3 very good, very unique Marvel films in a row now. Also Zendaya is so fit Go see this

Fair play this one hour episode is absolutely tapped. Either Jon Bernthall is an incredible actor or he has some serious demons that came out in this film. Probs the prior. Incredibly gory, two scenes in particular had me wincing. The plot is pretty straightforward and the action is brilliant. One scene has some inexcusably shite cgi, literally looks like a ps4 game. Overall a decent watch and has me more pumped to see more of Frank Castle in Brand New Day
