Hamnet

I want to preface this by saying I do not like period pieces, and I really don’t like Shakespeare. I did not like this film. But it was brilliant, despite it just simply not being a film I enjoyed it made me feel something, I felt fear I felt sadness and I felt for the characters. The acting, especially from hamnet himself was phenomenal. The shooting of this film was stunning and I appreciated every frame. Whilst the start and end were not up to par with the middle it was still a great film. As someone who has always disliked period pieces and Shakespeare this film shocked me with its quality. This film makes for a brilliant watch although I don’t think I would watch it again I would 100% recommend for anyone old enough to watch it. DISCLAIMER: I do not think this film was rated well. From my perspective I would have made it 14+ not 12A.
