probably my favorite score of all time packaged in such a stunning aesthetic with such an interesting dynamic between the leads?? plus this concert version is just absolutely perfection—so much like the original staged production but accessible from home like yes please
i’ve seen this twice live and sobbed through the second act both times without fail. the movie just doesn’t do it for me, but i did like the concert from the 25th anniversary. needs a proper adaptation!! this just…doesn’t quite cut it.
this is just nostalgia and emotion wrapped up in a film for me. reminds me of older times (I watched it a lot growing up) but with a harsh reminder of the cruelties of the world. just breaks my heart about every time and repairs it all the same. love it so much.
the movie is better than the west end version in my professional opinion and it’s just that little touch of alc… overall I just love this and it’s such a comfort movie/musical that I’ll rewatch for the rest of my life
I’d probably get killed if this wasn’t included but it isn’t my favorite. Such a phenomenal show and production, but I like other things more, sooo…

(I’m also traumatized by my 2016 Hamilton phase)
movie’s not out and it’ll probably suck, but I do have a soft spot for this from my middle school era. when a production of wicked has the right cast it can be so electric
actually haven’t seen this movie, but the live production at the bridge in London was an absolute blast so I wanted to give it a shoutout
apparently I didn’t watch this much as a kid, but I adore it now. Julie Andrews basically raised me
I have such a love hate relationship with this because I adore Barbra but it’s kind of boring towards the end. Anyway, some fantastic music that I grew up with <3
for some reason this is the version of the rodgers and hammersteins cinderella that I grew up with and you know what? it’s super nostalgic and I kind of love it lol. I learned In My Own Little Corner specifically off this version for auditions and sang it live.
I think I watched this all the way through…? nothing against the film I just have never gone and watched the whole thing that I can remember
