Kogonada stated that "architecture is the structuring of emptiness".
I don't fully disagree.
I think architecture is the structuring and the beautification of that emptiness.
Emptiness of our relationship with the world around usEmptiness of our relationship with the people around us
Like all art, architecture simply tries to create meaning and color in an area that shouldn't have it in the first place. Maybe, it's a substitute for our failure to create the meaning within in our own lives.
The failure to chase dreams. The failure to make amends.
To pay attention to those who care about us To let go of those who care too much
Or maybe architecture itself doesn't have a pointMaybe it's us
