Perfect Blue

10/10 I have been wanting to rewatch this for so long and finally did and I am so glad I did. Literally a masterpiece of a film and on rewatch seeing all of the clues is so cool and it all makes sense. When I first watched I was so lost on what was happening throughout the movie and I didn’t know what was real and what wasn’t. But on rewatch it all makes sense and it all comes together.  It all makes so much sense because the whole movie Rumi just wants Mima to be a pop idol and is pushing it so hard. Then also it all clicking together that she made “Mimas room” because who else would have known all of that information about her. Another thing that I found as a clear clue is her calling the letter bomb a prank, like yeah okay a prank lmao. I also thought it was so cool how when Mimas fish die, it symbolizes her innocence “dying”. The fact that Rumi was once a pop idol and didn’t make it in the industry which is why she did what she did makes so much sense as well. Just an amazing movie.
