Twilight

i’ve seen opening weekend avengers movies and plenty of blockbusters since but nothing has topped the lightning in the bottle that was the fangirl (i mean that with all the love) frenzy of twilight midnight movie premiers. people sitting anywhere there’s a space in the aisles and on stairs of the theater! generations of mothers and daughters foaming at the mouth! screaming and crying with the girlies! rewatching this in a theater with the original 35 mm film is the closest i’ve been to that original feeling of community and perhaps even god. who needs church when fandom exists amen
