Squid Game

I was finally able to rate this show again after finishing the final season god this show is so depressing yet just so realistic of how much greed there is in the world I’ll forever be stuck on Gi-hun’s last line “Humans are…” that line is just so powerful, and at first I had to go rewind to see if I missed something. But I came to the realization that there’s no actual way to describe what humans are. I mean what are humans? How do we describe humans? I mean they’re capable of these disgusting acts, violence, torture, etc… and yet they’re capable of being compassionate, loving, kind, and more. I hate the ending but I love it at the same time because I mean how else could it have end (in a realistic sense) ? After all that — you really couldn’t have expected a happy ending. People died, hundreds. If anything, if Gi-hun had survived — he would’ve suffered from severe PTSD for the rest of his life dwelling on what he could’ve done differently. Ever since this show came out, I’ve always been a fan. And it’s so unfortunate to see it end this way but I can’t see how else it could’ve ended. What I thought was really interesting was seeing In-ho’s character development towards the end, now that was something I really adore. The way Gi-hun had disobeyed killing the others in their sleep — showing how he’s not totally consumed and how he’s NOT like the others was really interesting. I could see how this had 100% contributed to In-ho’s character development towards the end (witnessing how humans can also be compassionate and selfless) This show is so devastating and depressing, and anyone can see it obviously. It really does an excellent job shedding light on the dark and light side of humanity, along with showing how you can succumb from greed. I can't tell you how much I really adore this show. They really did a fantastic job on the characters, development arcs, storyline, and just everything in general. One minor pick at this show which I think everyone can agree with would absolutely be the VIPS. When the VIPS came on, their acting was just honestly horrible like cmon.. that was just really disappointing but anyways.. This show is truly a masterpiece. Thank you. “Humans are…”
