Watched this weeks ago on opening weekend, was not expecting to walk away with the opinion that this is a contender for the year's best picture. Really really wish I could read the screenplay, but I can't read Japanese. The story and characters were incredible. Can't believe I preferred the scenes with Koichi over the scenes with Godzilla.
