Spider-Man 2
The ultimate superhero movie. The scenes where Peter doesn't have his powers in the second act are some of the best. They may not be as iconic as the train scene or the cafe car scene, but they spectacularly encapsulate Peter Parker's classic conundrum of whether he should keep being Spider-Man even though hanging up the mask would make his life easier. It's what Spider-Man's all about!
The camerawork in this movie isn't talked about enough. The blocking and movement is astonishing. A lot of classic Evil Dead techniques were utilized that work really well outside of the horror genre.
I also noticed the Web of Spider-Man and MJ that they hang from at the end was made from hot glue dried on wires. Simple but effective.
If I could give this movie unlimited stars, I would.
Amazing to see it on the big screen with 5.1 theater sound. It came out when I hadn't even turned 1 year old yet!
