Dune: Part Two

This actually marks the first time I’ve ever seen a movie in theaters by myself, and it was certainly a great one to start with. Denis Villeneuve proves once again that he’s a master at his craft, providing us with another sci-fi sequel superior to the original (even if he outdid himself this time). The visuals are stunning, the performances are strong across the board, and the story works way better this time around. Everything was perfect from a technical standpoint; I’ll be shocked if this doesn’t get praise come next awards season. I’ve still got some thoughts brewing so I’ll leave it her for now. I don’t think it’s quite perfect, but it’s damn near it.
