Scream

😱92% I did not fully appreciate this movie when I rewatched it 3 months ago. This film is masterfully crafted— the way you can decipher everything about our killers upon rewatch from which kill is which Ghostface all the way down to who is making the calls— and it never feels in-your-face; everything is subtle. The way this film calls out certain horror film tropes, and then execute said tropes perfectly is why this franchise is so beloved— bc you genuinely can feel the fear and suspense oozing from our main cast. The third act is an absolute fucking blast, and that’s due in large part to Lillard and Ulrich who will forever be remembered for this iconic ending. Just pure perfection. This movie knows exactly what it is and what it wants to be. This film is also incredibly well shot, which really plays into why it resonates with so many people past the horror genre. **All 2023 Viewings List **
