Yes, I've seen the alternate cut. You can claim it's more powerful, but I think you're wrong. To me, the film isn't about depressing the audience with a hollowing, cold message, it's about persevering through all of life's bullshit. Helping your brother in his time of need; it's awesome.

Bar the 5 (FIVE) post-credits scenes. Yondu's funeral is beautiful.
