Know I’m kind of in the minority here, but this is everything and more that I want from a sleazy 70s slasher. Not only is it visually gorgeous and completely faithful to the period and subgenre it’s embodying, but it also subverts and comments on tropes and themes of said period of horror (and American) history intelligently. Loooooove the cast of characters and the villains. Virtually perfect slasher
Just wrote a 3 paragraph review on this. One of the movies that got me into horror. Interesting attempt at mockumentary, some great moments and stretches of tension/horror and emotionally strong. Just too derivative of real life events for the story to be as engaging as it could be.
