passion. humans have a special trait no other species can replicate, it's obsession. films like la la land, whiplash, black swan, and now challengers has captured the essence of being obsessed. the need, the drive, the work to succeed is something few are willing to do. tisha duncan is willing to go to that measure to succeed. her competitiveness, her drive, her absolute need for greatness is such an interesting thing to watch. art's lapdog tendency to just follow her wishes, when he himself isn't willing to go that mile is something many of us relate with. the passion of art is not for the masses. the dynamic between art, patrick and tisha is so interesting to watch. the way two childhood bestfriends, are divided by one woman is so sad yet intriguing to see. any scene where the three of them are present is so tense, i find myself looking at tisha, wondering which of the boys she really does like better. overall really damn great work from the whole team.
