Nosferatu
I can't really explain why I loved this as much as I do but I just do. I don't even particularly think it's a good remake and frankly I prefer the original, but as a standalone? It hits. It hits so hard. Especially the last hour. Lily Rose Depp delivered a performance worthy of the gothic horror hall of fame and I liked that she got more of a role within the story (even being the driving force). Aaron Taylor Johnson as Friedrich was another standout to me.
Just. What a film. Leaving Orlok and Ellen embraced like that as the final shot elevated the original source material so much. Amazing work from Robert Eggers.
