Sofia Fucking Gigante
It was Cristin Milioti’s Emmy speech that finally pushed me to start and I’m so glad I did.
Sofia is such a fascinating complex deeply flawed character who despite it all, you can’t help but root for. Episode 4 alone is enough to make this a 5 star production. There are so many things one could say, hot, evil, traumatised, deeply loving and lonely; but what’s best is that she doesn’t fit one box at all. Constantly evolving and challenging the archetypes it would be easy to fall to. My sweet girl, I hope we see you again.
Oz. Fuck you. About sums up how I feel. Even still phenomenally performed, although it’s the performances of those around him that make Farrell’s work shine brightest. Most notable being his mother. Her slow descent and thinly veiled disgust, always just below the surface.
Am incredible watch and I can’t wait to see the next instalment in Gotham
