“could things be any worse?” i kept thinking that. i saw a screenshot of the page for this film on here on a tiktok video with the caption “movies to watch at night.” i didn’t watch this because it said to watch at night but rather because the image for some reason seemed really intriguing, and just based off that it felt different and more unique than other scorsese films idk why. it wasn’t on my watchlist or any lists to get through and i wasn’t going through scorsese’s filmography or anything i just felt the NEED to watch it immediately. i’d obviously heard about the film before and although i didn’t know what it was about, i knew a lot of people loved it, but it really wasn’t on that highest tier of scorsese films. i was like this feels different for some reason like before i watched it and i just needed it bad. anyways. i love this sooooo much for a lot of reasons but i can’t really think right now. will watch many times in my life i know it now.
