Enemies-to-lovers, shakespeare, and teenage drama all in one, kat & patrick really said “I hate you but I’m obsessed”

It’s a whole psychological meltdown disguised as animation and I’m still not okay after it. Satoshi Kon really said “let’s destroy reality, identity, and your sanity all at once” and actually delivered. the way it blurs what’s real vs delusion? insane. I was literally sitting there like “wait WHAT is actually happening??” every 5 minutes. Mima’s descent hits so uncomfortable in a good way, like it gets under your skin and just stays there. it’s creepy, intense, and somehow beautiful at the same time. definitely not a chill watch, but it’s one of those films that sticks in your brain and refuses to leave.

Straight-up a chaotic masterpiece, like Tarantino just said ‘let’s turn revenge into art’ and went absolutely insane with it. the fight scenes? insane. the style? iconic. the vibes? pure blood-soaked cinema candy. it’s violent, it’s stylish, it’s kinda unhinged in the best way possible. Uma Thurman as The Bride is just that girl fr, cold, focused, and unstoppable. every scene feels like a flex. not even gonna lie, I was locked in the whole time like “bro… this is cinema.”
