Superman

Superman (2025) exudes a comic book-iness that no comic book movies have captured for me in along time. It is the perfect combination of the goofy, epic, and hopeful that you search for in the genre of superhero.    David Corenswet did a great job portraying the humanity of the “Man of Steel”. Which is the most important part of the character. Nicholas Hoult’s Lex Luther stole the show for me as the most insane egotistical hater I’ve ever seen. You can see him seethe everytime he is not entirely winning. The entire cast just really pulled it off.    The action in this movie was never dull because of its ability to portray the intensity of the superpowers.  The only thing that I would really fault this film for was it could sometimes feel like it was making too many jokes it scenes where they were not needed.  But in a time of slowly declining hope. Superman managed to bring some of that hope back for me and that’s why I loved it the most.
