Satantango

No belief or ideology can truly express a human. If someone hides completely in one thought and silences their inner voice they lose their self and their values. This leads to despair and the fading of dreams. When such people try to move forward they always step back at the first sign of danger; 1 step forward 2 steps back, like a tango. These people are like devils; they avoid the greatest responsibilities and choose the safety of patterns for their own comfort. The film shows the hope of these like devils, their tango. Technically the atmosphere and weight match the theme perfectly. Emotionally, film is so powerful, like if you watch this in one sit with full attention, it ll be transcendence experience. Every citizen of the former soviet countries should watch this film, if they want to see their nations. I am glad I came across such a work.
