Dunkirk
Dunkirk is a well-executed war film, and Nolan's way of showcasing terror of the war on soldiers at Dunkirk is spot on. Nolan's interesting way of storytelling took a while for me to grasp but I believe its the flagship aspect of the film. Sure, character development is very minimal, so you cannot render the film through the eyes of a single character. Dialogue is quite minimal for a Nolan film but I think for Dunkirk, he relied on the visual and aural trauma of scenes to hit you where it should. Also, a Hans Zimmer score can never disappoint me. This is a movie about showing the disaster, the terror of war striking the beaches of Dunkirk during WWII and Nolan brought that out very well.
P.S. Tom Hardy will forever spend his career wearing mouth masks lol.
