Junk Head

Very pleasantly surprised by this. Pure original, creativity, like nothing I’ve seen. It’s hilarious throughout, emotional and touching at times, has characters you care for and strongly root for by the end, absolutely mental chasing/fighting action sequences that blew me away and a great soundtrack tying it together. It’s so unpredictable and constantly surprising you as the story unfolds with disturbing looking creatures and a gross kind of violence, which makes for a really enjoyable experience. It’s very out there but I could recommend this to anyone who wants to go on a fun, visually compelling, silly and extremely tense at times journey. Despite how funny it is, the standout quality that really sets it apart as you’d expect is the stop motion animation, and incredible cinematography. It’s got a dark, raw style and the world building feels extensive and works really well - this would definitely make a great video game. There’s constant nice touches throughout, I’ve got to give a lot of credit to the director. It feels like an untouched creative vision which is very refreshing, 5 stars for now
