Her
The past is just a story we tell ourselves.
Yeah, this is infinitely better on a rewatch. Once you know the film's message and purpose, watching it again allows you to notice the more subtle nuances the film has to offer and you are allowed to experience the true beauty of the movie. Any pacing issues I may have had on my first watch are completely ironed out which makes the experience so much better. The not-so-distant hypothetical future created by Spike Jonze and company is jawdroppingly beautiful. Through some excellent use of color and perfect cinematography, this world comes alive with seamless ease. It's truly something to behold. There's not much I could say to do this film justice really. I'm at a loss for words at this point. I'll just leave it at this; Her is one of a kind. Nothing like it has ever been made and nothing ever will be. It manages to be simultaneously heartwarming and heartbreaking, truly capturing the human condition, unlike anything I've ever seen. Truly beautiful.
