Panchatanthiram
This is peak Kamal Haasan chaos and it absolutely slaps. Crazy premise, killer one-liners, and a cast that knows how to ride the absurdity without ever losing control. Every scene is a setup for a punchline and every punchline lands like a damn firecracker.
Kamal is in full comic beast mode. His timing is surgical, his expressions are lethal and his chemistry with the gang , Jayaram, Ramesh Aravind, Yugi Sethu, Sriman ,is pure gold. Simran brings elegance and bite, while Ramya Krishnan steals scenes with that perfect mix of menace and mischief.
K S Ravikumar directs like he’s conducting a symphony of chaos. The pacing never dips, the editing is tight and the screenplay by Crazy Mohan is just relentless. Wordplay, slapstick, situational madness , it’s all here and it’s all brilliant.
For me , this was a masterclass in controlled anarchy. It’s loud, ridiculous, and smart as hell. I laughed like fuckall, you’ll quote it for years, and you’ll wish more comedies had this kind of guts. Absolute banger.
