Evil Does Not Exist
wowwwwww wowowwow
this movie was unexpectedly so amazing and different.
overall this film is a story on home th actions of higher ups directly effects “regular” people immensely in ways that could be unforeseen, how nature continues to be a catalyst in the lives of many and still draws in people in the modern age, and the facade that those in charge put up simply for formalities.
the opening credits were stellar, a beautiful upwards shot of trees with an amazing score, intermittently being blatantly and abruptly interrupted by credits. this was a cool way to interpolate the theme of the movie in a 5 minute span.
while this movie was slow, it was equally stunning with consistently beautiful shots throughout the whole movie with almost hypnotic drawn out scenes to envelop the viewer deep into the scenery and mood.
it’s funny i didn’t understand the ending at first, but i was explaining the movie to my mom and i. the middle of my explanation i had an epiphany and everything made sense.
the ending was perfectly subtle and it was refreshing that the big company was not righteous in the benefit of the doubt they appeared to be getting for a large portion of the movie.
I saw a comment that said evil does not exist because everyone is just doing their job. That’s something i don’t know if most people could admit.
