Before Sunset
what im thinking about now, when i watched it for second time
- the scene, where jesse is asking celine why she didn't come to vienna, when they're on the boat, yknow? it was kinda giving the same vibe as the scene from eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, when joel and clementine are in the house and there's water, and joel is talking about how he wishes he'd stayed.
i cant really explain it, it's not even the theme of the conversation, just the tones they used. in a way, jesse sounded so much like joel, and celine sounded so much like clementine. it's funny, their names even start with the same letters. i didn't even think of this the first time i watched this. or like, i think i did, i knew the scene felt familiar but i didn't think about it much, because i decided i might just remember it from an edit on tik tok. and im writing it here because no one who i know has seen these two movies and i have no one to tell this.
it's not even something that is supposed to make sense, it's just something i wanna say about this movie.
